How To Use the Swift Playgrounds App

On your Apple device, select the Swift Playgrounds app to open it and load it to the entry menu. There you will find an easy to use menu where you can select a number of options oh what you want to do next.

If you are new to this app, select the first lesson at the top left to get you started on your programming journey. The first lesson is called 'learn to code 1, fundamentals of Swift', where you will be introduced at the very beginner level.

After you select the first lesson, it will load and display a split-screen with the picture on the right and text on the left side. The text on the left side will be the area where you will be adding the coding of the program on the right side.

Click on the tab to enter code on the left side of the screen to add some coding to the program. When you are done, just click on the right side of the screen where it says Run My Code, and it will run the program.

Everything you add in code on the left side will have an effect on what is happening on the ride side of the program. This first lesson will help you to understand the basics of coding and how it will make your program behave.
